circa 1871, with sighted 33in. barrel, rotary breech, plain lockplate marked with number and a circular maker's mark, walnut three-quarter stock with iron furniture, the heel-plate spur with regimental markings (indistinct) and steel under-barrel clearing rod (metal surfaces lightly pitted and cleaned, stock worn with dents and bruises)
